We enjoyed the traditional pub atmosphere of the Retreat hotel in Richmond. We sat inside the small, cosy dining room, but outdoor bench seating in side street available too. Staff were friendly and efficient. Menu with traditional pub food with some healthy offerings too. We had parmas. Impressed there were several variations on traditional parmas. The Greek parma with fetta and olives was generous and particularly good. Traditional parma needed a bit more tomato passata on it. Eggplant parma was made with grilled eggplant, not fried with bread crumbs, which was an appreciated healthier option. Chips were excellent, thin, but not shoestring and perfectly cooked crisp, not soggy. We enjoyed our dinner out at the Retreat hotel.
